Cult Trailers: I Will Take a Chubby Pickle!
In addition to numerous drive-in ads I’ve never seen anywhere else (such as the pickle pitch above), the astonishingly completist blog Cult Trailers boasts the single best collection of grindhouse coming attractions and related videos I’ve come across yet.
The Animal/Beast Horror section alone boasts 86 items, including the mind-blowing Jaws rip-offs Barracuda (1978), Up From the Depths (1979), and Bruno Mattei’s Cruel Jaws (1995 – amazingly).
Among the heavy metal horror tie-ins are Dokken’s “Dream Warriors” video (complete with the mongoloid punchline of Fred D. Kreuger waking up scared) and the actual NBC bumper for KISS Meets the Phantom.
Individuals honored with their own sections include Dario Argento, Linda Blair, Charles Bronson, Joe D’Amato, Edwige Fenech, David Hess, Vincent Price, and Henry Silva
